Turning the corner at dawn onto view of the highest mountain peak on Tioga Pass, at Yosemite National Park’s highest point, Mt. Dana had me immediately stop the car to revel in wonder. The mountain was still covered in quite a bit of snow pack at the summer solstice, and all of the different mineral variations of the rocks invited me to look deeply at this earth-made cathedral. At just over 13,000 feet, Mt. Dana will humble anyone who witnesses her, and in collecting this piece I know you’ll be reminded of your love for the mountains and desire to get out and feel their power again soon.
