A small, tender, opaque watercolor painting made in devotion to the duff and forest floor of the coast redwoods. This tiny yellow flower blooming in the moss and death contrasts bright yellow against the purple ground. Her name? Redwood Violet. To me when I spot these rare flowers they are a symbol of how beauty can grow out of destruction.
