Before I was a Northern California-based Adventure Artist,
I was an active community organizer, writer, and curator for the art scene in Kansas City, Missouri
After leaving art school in 2012, I started teaching at my alma mater, I ran a gallery in my apartment, and started Informality an art review publication. Then, I was a co-director of a non-profit artist-led gallery space, had a studio in a communal space at The Drugstore collective, and volunteered as a curator and guest teacher in artist-run and institutional spaces.
I led various community projects until I left to work for Apple in Cupertino, California in 2020. At Apple, I worked on the team that helped develop our worldwide free creative education programming in the stores called Today at Apple. After failing to stick the landing at corporate, I spent several years after facilitating the lessons I helped build until the program changed abruptly in 2023, prompting me to leave.
Now, my life is a hybrid of many things. Adventure artist, online educator, and retreat guide, all informed deeply by my DIY artist-run roots.

The following is formatted like a traditional artist resume, aka a CV, which is often used in the “art world” as a tool for gatekeeping. I don’t love that, but find the format helpful to maintain as it serves the purpose of showing where I’ve been and what I learned from those experiences. Certain projects have been redacted. I used bolding below to show you the things in my history I’m most excited for you to look at. Use those as your guide.
