why i decided against getting an mfa

I had to move out of my studio, and it helped me reflect on my progress and persistence as an artist who teaches for a living without an MFA. I struggled with this feeling of lacking a credential for so long, but realized the experiences in my life added up to far more than what an extra degree could’ve given me.
